Bogor Agricultural University (IPB) in collaboration with the Directorate General of Population and Civil Registration (Dirjen Dukcapil) of the Ministry of Home Affairs (Kemendagri) provided "e-KTP Service Program". This activity was conducted in order to support the Movement of Indonesian Population Administration (GISA) and to assist IPB academic community to get their electronic ID card (e-KTP) as their right.

This e-KTP Service was held at Graha Widya Wisuda, IPB Dramaga Campus Bogor and opened for 2 (two) days on 30 and 31 May 2018.

Vice Rector for Resources, Planning and Finance, Dr. Ir. Agus Purwito, M.Sc.Agr, said that the e-KTP Service Program at IPB was originated from the Minister of Home Affairs, Tjahjo Kumolo, when giving a Public Lecture on 2 May 2018 at IPB. At that time, many participants of the public lecture asked about e-KTP that has not been given to some academic community of IPB

"Finally, the Minister was committed to assist IPB academic community in getting their e-KTP through e-KTP Service Program. Directorate General of Dukcapil was assigned to carry out the cooperation of this program," he said.

He confirmed that this campus-based e-KTP service was the first one held in Indonesia and it was expected that IPB can be an example for such service in other campuses across Indonesia.

"This e-KTP service was for all IPB employees (lecturers and educational staff) and their families and students in various strata (Diploma, Bachelor, and Postgraduate). The e-KTP served 4 (four) groups: residents who are already recorded but have not received the cards, unrecorded residents, residents who change the data, and 17-year-old new voters of the election in June 2018," he said.

According to Dr. Agus, the data of IPB academicians and families who have registered reached up to 1,856 people, consisted of 258 lecturers, 124 education staff, 345 employees, and 1,129 students.

Of the total number above, 48.92% (908 people) are those who have been recorded but have not received the cards. A total of 265 people have not done recording. Residents who want to change the data elements are as many as 659 people. The remaining number, approximately 1.29%, is beginner voters.

However, there are still many IPB academicians who have not registered yet. But the service will still be given when they come to the place where this e-KTP service was previously held.

Meanwhile, the Director General, Prof. Dr. Zudan Arif Fakrulloh, conveyed that the e-KTP service at IPB can show the cooperation implementation between the government administration and the educational administration in providing public services. The government will accomodate requests from IPB to record and print identity cards or e-KTP for students, lecturers, educational staff along with their families as a form of service quality improvement.

"If necessary, we are ready to continue to provide the e-KTP service, either once every three months or six months, we are ready to serve," he said.

According to Prof. Zudan, IPB can contact the local Disdukcapil office and his personels will come directly to record. All services are free, thus, if there is a fee, citizens are asked to report it immediately.

Furthermore, Prof. Zudan said that e-KTP is not just an identity card, but it has many uses to manage other administrations such as for SIM making and for banking data. Therefore, he invited the community to immediately do the recording.

"For students and IPB families, making e-KTP in the village or sub-district is a common thing, but making it on their campus is extraordinary," he said.

The e-KTP service activity was divided into 3 (three) sessions. Session 1 started at 08.00 -10.00 WIB, session 2 was done at 10.00-12.00 WIB and session 3 was at 13.00-15.00 WIB. Each session generally served 3 (three) faculties or work units under IPB. On the last session of the second day, people who had not registered yet were given the opportunity to get the service.

Vice Rector for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Ir. Drajat Martianto; Vice Rector for Innovation, Business and Entrepreneurship, Prof. Dr. Ir. Erika Budiarti Laconi; Secretary of the Director General of Dukcapil Kemendagri, Ir. I Gede Suratha; the Deans, Directors, Heads of Offices, Head of Bureaus and a number of other IPB officials also attended the activity. (Awl/ZSP/Zul)
