In Its 9th Anniversary Celebration, IPB Press Organized Book Bazaar and Books Donation

In its 9th anniversary celebration, IPB Press organized a five-day book bazaar for general books, professional and technical reference books, and book donation at IPB Bookstore, in IPB Campus, Dramaga, Bogor, on 9-13 April 2018. IPB Bookstore is an independent bookstore owned by IPB and it is located at the opposite the Faculty of Agriculture.

"This special bazaar was held in the framework of IPB Press's 9th anniversary, during which we also donated some books for the communities who need books," said Bayu Nugraha as Chief Executive of the Book Bazar.

IPB communities flocked to the Bazaar and enthusiastically purchased the goods available. In addition to the books published by IPB Press, the books available for bazaar were the donations of the faculty members of IPB. It was really the best opportunity to get  the very reasonable price offered.

"We sell books start from 10 thousand to 50 thousand Rupiah for the special books, the regular prices for those books usually two to three times higher than those sold in the book bazaar," Bayu concluded.

The book bazaar was organized by IPB bookstore as its methods to promote the university bookstore to the community, especially IPB academic community. In addition, the bookstore is the official outlets to disseminate articles and works of IPB authors. Moreover, IPB Press will be utilized as the scientific bridge between campus and community. The bookstore offers a complete line of textbooks, new and used, as well as art supplies, gift items, mugs, shirts, hats, and test supplies and more.

"It's good to have an event like this, especially the price of books are very cheap," said Imel visitors book bazaar.

On this occasion, Ramdani the Manager of IPB Book Store, expected that that similar bazaar will be organized the next event. If possible, the event should be organized annually.  "This special event will be helpful for students who seek reference books for their lessons, therefore, we plan to organize similar event in the future," he said.
