"I am interested in the word of human ecology. I am proud to be the student of Faculty of Human Ecology (Fema), Bogor Agricultural University (IPB). It is because, this Faculty is the first and the only one in Indonesia". Thus said Lely Trijayanti, 1st place winner of Innovation Contest (Icon) in Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta in the year of 2014, with the innovation title of "Centong Digital Praktis dan Sehat dengan Sistem Otomatis Penimbang Berat Makanan untuk Mencegah Obesitas Dini / Digital Scoop of Practical and Healthy with Automatic System of Weighing Food to Prevent the Early Obesity".

Overweight or obesity in children had become a trend. In general, the obesity was triggered by the consumption of more carbohydrates and the dietary adjustment that was not good. But, as well as other nutritional problems, the obesity could also be prevented. This was what lied behind the innovation of Lely Trijayanti together with Ida Mursyidah, Fatma Putri, from Department of Family Sciences and Consumer, Fema, Hasan Fatikhunnada from Department of Mechanical Engineering and Biosystem, Faculty of Agricultural Technology (Fateta) and Hasan Nasrullah from Department of Physics, Faculty of Mathematics and IPA (FMIPA).

Under the expert guidance of food safety of Fema IPB, Prof.Dr. Ahmad Sulaeman, they designed the digital scoop for preventing early obesity named "capres" which was the abbreviation from centong analog praktis & sehat. Scoop with the automatic system of weighing food to prevent the early obesity, and as the supporter of the healthy living program of Indonesian society.

Lely told a little experience in joining the innovation contest. "Our magic scoop gets a very good appreciation from the jury. I and Ida Mursidah and Fatma Putri shoud understand the material about the electronic deeper, since we are not from the technical department. But, after joining this contest, we learn about the electronic devices which are initially very foreign to our ears, such as sensors and arduino ", said Lely.

Lely said, the hardest part in this contest was the presentation. "Innovations that we make this sound and look weird, so it must be presented clearly and answer the jury’s question well in a short time ", she added.

Study at IPB had indeed become Lely’s dream since attending high school (SMA). "I choose Fema because I am interested with the social science. Indonesia is left behind 35 years from America about the family science. I am increasingly eager to learn the family science after hearing the statement of one of the lecturers," she added. (fy)
