IPB stages an Entrepreneurship Expo

In its 47th Anniversary, IPB held an Entrepreneurship Expo to show the products and services of the academic communities and those assisted by IPB, Monday (18/10), in Bogor Botanical Square. Rector of IPB, Prof. Dr. Ir. Herry Suhardiyanto in his speech hopes this expo will produce a new breakthrough for lecturers and students of IPB in the entrepreneurial spirit of strengthening the characters of the nation and food security. "I hope through this expo an entrepreneurial spirit is formed among the academic communities of IPB," said Rector.

This Expo was attended by around 24 stands of IPB and those guided by IPB. The Stands exhibited were mostly from the working units of IPB, that is, the resulted innovations and products made by IPB lecturers. Further, Rector said that what is more important is how the stakeholders inside IPB could have a better understanding of the entrepreneurial spirit.

After opening the Expo, the Rector with the Director of Business and Partnership, Dr.Ir.Meyka Syahbana Rusli visited the expo stands, such as  those of ICDF, F-Technopark, Department of Agricultural Industrial Technology, Department of Food Science and Technology FATETA, Department of Science and Technology of Livestock Production of FAPET, AgroEduTourism FAPET, Biofarmaka, Syifa Park, Center for Tropical Fruits Studies, Agripark Bogor Life Science and Technology (BLST), Directorate of Career Development and Alumni Relations (DPKHA), SEAFAST CENTER, Labschool IPB ISFA, Agribusiness Department of FEM, IPB International Convention Center (IICC), Hotel Santika, Agrimart, and Department of Fishery Product Technology, FPIK.

The event was held for three days and enlivened by a variety of activities such as Talk-Show on the Benefits of Sambiloto, Talk-Show on Healthy Organic Food, cooking and product demonstrations, acoustic and dance performances by Labschool FEMA IPB, and so forth. (mtd)
