Department of Forest Management IPB University Expands Collaboration with UiTM Malaysia

Department of Forest Management, Faculty of Forestry and Environment (Fahutan) IPB University held international collaboration development activities at Universiti Teknologi MARA (UiTM), Malaysia.

Collaboration was established as part of the implementation of the tridarma of higher education. The event was attended by lecturers, education staff, and students of the undergraduate and master programs of Forest Management Science (IPH) IPB University.

Chairman of the Forest Management Department of IPB University, Dr Soni Trison, emphasized the importance of cooperation between countries to complement each other in the development of science in the field of forestry.

“This cooperation not only strengthens the relationship between institutions, but also opens up new opportunities in education and research,” he explained.

In this activity, the participants participated in discussions related to opportunities for cooperation in the fields of research, teaching, and community service. In addition, they also gained insight into the educational approach at UiTM through a visit to the Faculty of Applied Sciences.

Through this activity, the Forest Management Department of IPB University and UiTM Malaysia are committed to strengthening academic relations and supporting each other in the development of forestry science. (IAAS/RUM)
