Faculty of Animal Science IPB University Establishes Cooperation with Faculty of Animal Science Unpad
The Faculty of Animal Science (Fapet) of IPB University agreed to establish cooperation with the Faculty of Animal Science of Padjadjaran University (Unpad). The signing of this cooperation agreement took place in the Fapet Conference Room, IPB Dramaga Campus, Bogor (7/8).
"Unpad is close to IPB University, we are in the same province. Our goal is the same in the future, which is to cooperate related to academics, both to facilitate credit-earning students or to participate in internship programs," said the Dean of Faculty of Animal Science IPB University, Dr Idat Galih Permana.
In his remarks, Dr Idat revealed that it is also possible to initiate research cooperation between universities. "Fapet research activities are quite high at IPB University. In addition to the Merdeka Learning Campus Merdeka (MBKM) program, we can share student exchanges with special themes, for example, technology 4.0," he added.
Dean of the Faculty of Animal Science, Dr Rahmat Hidayat also said that the purpose of this activity was to carry out one mission, namely collaboration in the fields of education, research, and future planned publications. "We have a study center. All lecturers must enter a research group with each commodity in it, for example, dairy commodities," he explained.
He added that each research group must have partners, both foreign and domestic. According to him, this can be used as an opportunity for collaboration. "We can conduct research together, with a road map and publication targets," he said.
Both parties also hope that with the historical relationship between Fapet IPB and Unpad, there will be stronger cooperation. Vice Dean of Fapet IPB University in the field of Academic, Student Affairs and Alumni, Prof Irma Isnafia Arief also mentioned that there will be a student exchange between the two universities so that students have wider networking.
This activity was also attended by the Vice Dean of Fapet IPB University in the field of Resources, Cooperation, and Development Dr Sri Suharti, and the Chairman of departments (Kadep), namely Kadep Ilmu Produksi dan Teknologi Peternakan (IPTP) Prof Asep Gunawan and Kadep Ilmu Nutrisi dan Teknologi Pakan (INTP) Dr Heri Ahmad Sukria.
